Purdue just got their 8th ace and not even half way thru 2nd set. Purdue up 16-9 in 2nd. Purdue with 8 aces and 6 blocks so far. Purdue of 19-11 in 2nd. Purdue now has 8 aces and 8 blocks. Purdue up 2-0. 26-24 & 25-17. 10 aces for Purdue, 7 in 2nd and 8 blocks. Paige Jones for Mich has such a live arm. Mich just gave up their 12th ace. Serve/receive is killing them. Mich takes 3rd set 25-20. Mich takes 4th set 25-20. Caitlyn Newton of Purdue, 15 kills, 7 aces, 5 digs, 5 blocks. A decent nite  Match of runs. 4-1 Purdue in 5th. Mich next 4. Shondell if 4 for 4 in challenges. 11's in 5th 13's in 5th 17's in 5th tied from 10. Purdue has 14 aces and 17 blocks. Purdue takes it 20-18 in the 5th. Mich had 6 match points and couldn't convert. |

Cal up 2-0 over Wash. Cal hitting .323 & Wash .265. Wash has in vicinity of 6th best RPI.
Wash pulls out 3rd set.
Wash takes 4th, going 5
Wash up 4-0 in 5th
Wash up 10-2 in 5th

Purdue @ Michigan St is another match that we want Purdue to win to cement their top 25 RPI standing. Not sure what a loss would do to their ranking. Don't think it would knock their ranking out of the top 25 but not sure. Interesting how we've become big fans of Purdue in the last couple of weeks. |

For me, always a PU fan. Jacquelyn (sp?) Hart was a huge competitor when I started watching WVB D1, and played under some very adverse personal circumstances. Shondell always comports himself the way I'd want someone to coach my daughter, were she to have reached D1. They have a supportive student body that reminds me of (a lesser version of) the Rec'ing Crew. They looked like they strove for diversity in recruiting long before many of the B1G did. Sure seems like AVCA coaches believe the team belongs in the 25. Let's hope selection committee has no quibbles.
But geez, what happened to MSt. this year? Hope they bounce back next year.

They revealed the top four seeds on the NCAA twitter. Wisconsin is in. Pitt left out. Selection show in 30 minutes.
