Regarding (R)uffda:
As you've gathered, he's a big Minnesota fan and probably one of Volleytalk's most prolific posters. I was being semi-facetious. He helped me get some Minnesota statistics last year. I think he's a good guy. He just roots for the "wrong" team. God help you if you get on Volleytalk's politics forum (which I do not recommend) and have views that diverge from his.

Don't worry, VolleyTalk will be the last place I talk politics. Sports-only for me.

I feel so bad for (R)uffda. Why? What's his deal? I've read some things from him, but not enough to know him or any other major posters on VT. Others may disagree, but in general, I find (R)uffda to be knowledgeable, very funny, but at times unnecessarily argumentative. He took time on several occasions when DigNittany was new and I was young(er) to write articles for the site, which I really appreciated. I think he is one of the truly "good guys" on VT. It's not a huge group.

We've posted our Match Recap on DigNittanyVolleyball.com. Here's the link: Lions Sink Terps in Sold-Out Rec Hall (Talking Head Recaps the Match)
And here's an excerpt:
What is the sound of 6505 Penn State women’s volleyball fans letting out a collective sigh of relief, as #4-ranked Penn State (25-4, 14-4) defeated Maryland (13-19, 3-15) 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-13) at Rec Hall? . . . .
Here’s what Talking Head, who was in the crowd, had to say about the match:

As usual, a great write-up. The post-match statements from the coach and players addressed many of the concerns we've raised on this forum. That's not to say that they're pandering to our concerns. I'd rather believe that collectively, we identified what was "not working." The relief the team seemed to show as the game ended seemed to indicate they felt good about themselves and they are ready to move forward.

Haven't seen this mentioned but I really liked how aggressive the team served.

Though no one will say it the lineup change for the Maryland match was a change that the team needed to get its team chemistry right. The results were manifold as the backrow digging and passing improved significantly. The front row hitting was much more efficient and the team clicked off three clean set wins. It was like I was watching a team I hadn't seen in the past month and I was excited again. We need to keep Kendall Pierce on the court for the rest of the season. I commend the coaches for making this late season change.
