Looking a bit better. It has to be hard to play with that Nebraska crowd.

Let's finish set 1 strong. PSU seems to be pulling it together late and getting better. Great, need a momentum boost going into the 2nd set. Carry over to set 2 and tie this up!

Where's that multi-tasking beast Gnu2vball tonight? He's usually following so many matches and texting on so many different forums and threads, it's hard to keep up with him.

Block seemed to show up later in first. Gotta keep it close. Nebraska is hitting so good, even out of system. PSU's outsides are getting blocked too often. Everyone must be too busy biting their nails. Where are all the posters?

More seriously, this is difficult to watch. Is it Nebraska or are we just a bit of too often?

We are only hitting .095 as a team through 2 sets vs .211 for Nebraska. That's not gonna cut it against anyone. Too many hitting errors, net violations, and aced 4 times and 3 service errors for PSU. At least it's not back row defense. Nebraska just seems to be playing better, I'm sure the crowd is helping them a lot.

Frantti hitting -.200 and Lee is at -.333; that's why Nia Reed came in, I think.
Gotta speed up the setting in order to fool the better blocking teams like NE.
It's too easy for their block to read our offense.
It's gonna take another year or two for Weiskircher to get to Hancock's level.
We're getting outblocked 8-3. Foecke is killing us, again.

I wish I could add a more positive narrative, but other than disagreeing on the Weiskircher analysis (for the most part, this is a team effort), I can't.

Ruffda made a comment on VT that Washington's block is a huge part of the problem. I wonder if it's true.
