Gee! I haven't paid much attention to college football for several years. Today, while watching the Rose Bowl--the first college football game I watched in its entirety this season--I saw that PSU is playing Georgia in the __?__ Bowl on Saturday. That's the first time these teams have met since the 82 (?) National Championship. I remember PSU won and the next year, they had a neat bumper sticker that said "We sent Herschel Walkin." Ahhhh.... simpler times.
I met my wife at Georgia, I turned down two opportunities to go to PSU, and my father-in-law was quite the Bulldog fan. I like Georgia (except when) and I kind of came out of the closet as a PSU fan during a really exciting punt return. Our relationship was never quite the same after that.

It's too bad PSU lost this one. Also, it's funny to think how they come up with the names to some of these bowl games. I mean the "TaxSlayer Bowl," what the heck? Did a bunch of bean counters pay for this one? Georgia sure does produces some peaches.

The DVR is, without a doubt, one of the great inventions of the early 21st century, (Parenthetically and redundantly, it was probably invented in the 20th century but it's become more common in this century so forgive my hyperbole and exaggeration.)
