Do you know anything about Anna Allison and why she would give Stanford a #1 vote this week? I know she is Bucknell's Head coach. It could also be a glitch by AVCA as it was the other week when they tried to transfer votes to Excel.

WE WON. But with their very talented OH on the sidelines It is not unreasonable that others may feel Stanford could receive a Number 1 vote.

I saw Hawaii moved up 1. I think that only reason is most voters were sleeping when Hawaii played and lost to UCLA in 4 last night. UCLA was ranked 25th while Hawaii was ranked 18th. Russ is still #11 matches ahead of Dave on the all time D1 wins record and more than likely will gain at least 1 more this coming weekend as Hawaii plays Florida on Friday. Hawaii plays 1st 13 matches at home this year and a total of 19 home matches vs 8 away matches. Dave loves to homestead! Would love to see Hawaii come to Rec Hall just once during pre-conference. Don't see that happening until after Dave retires which could be in just a couple of years. Penn State has come here to Hawaii a couple of times in the past.

That's like losing to Stanford last year in Sep and not having Washington playing because she was injured and the voters voting on Penn State keeping #1. Didn't happen nor would I expect it to happen and that match went to 5. This match yesterday was a sweep and winning by 7 points in the 3rd set!

At least Hawaii's a place a lot of teams like to visit.

If teams from East Coast can come to Hawaii then Hawaii can come there once in a while! Heck, he doesn't even go to West Coast during pre-conference play. Dave does this because it is an advantage for him to play at home during pre-conference. If I put this argument on VT, there would be all kinds of whining from a couple of Hawaii fans there. I respect most Hawaii posters on VT but there are a few on there that are just too thinned skinned.

It must kill them that Coach Rose is leading in wins.

I'm going to put up the Iowa match on YT (unlisted) from this weekend and you will see a little of what I'm talking about but even watching on TV/video doesn't do it justice. Have to attend a match to see what opposing teams endure. Fans can make a huge difference in a match here, especially when there are 8K plus all rooting for Hawaii. When Hawaii get's behind a few points they loudly chant "LET's GO BOWS" over and over when opposing team is serving and the whole place rocks. As for killing them about Russ leading, I'm sure there are some that think that way but most respect Russ except maybe those few I spoke to you about on VT but I think it kills the mid-west(BTN) that Penn State keeps on top in the Women's Volleyball world because even though they put up his record before the match, I didn't see anything about being all time D1 wins leader. Hawaii always had that stat up before each match with Dave before Russ passed him. Did you see how BTN couldn't wait to leave after match was over and go to other programming even though there was plenty of time left in the 2 hour slot they allotted for this match. They even cut to commercial before the ending music was done. Did you notice that? Speaking of which, I think Bryanna just got robbed for not getting Setter of the week.

Lets hope it's a software glitch and not one of judgment. If this is true then I would say, an error in judgement or she has a beef with Penn State. FROM: Happyvolley on VT "I sent her an email, asking for her rationale. She replied that everyone is entitled to their opinion and if I don't like it, I am watching the wrong sport".

This Poll is a farce. I reviewed the ballots for the last 2 weeks, there are 64 first place votes but there are only 63 coache names and many of them blanks. This game can not be taken serious until the AVCA treated them as real. This is one of the many reasons they can NOT grow the sport.

Maybe she's trying for some recruits in California? Maybe she's trying to draw attention to herself and her program? And maybe she has a beef, as many think? The Coaches' Poll has certainly provided her a platform. Anybody check who she picked last week?
