Note: The defending national champions are back in the NCAA Semifinals this Saturday. The Bulldogs (14-3), the No. 5 seed, take on top-seeded Penn State (16-1), which is looking to avenge its only loss of the 2019 season. The "Northern" semifinal at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia airs live on ESPN2 following the noon "Southern" semi of No. 2 Duke and No. 3 Virginia. gopsusports.com/schedule.aspx?path=mlax

I have been following the Mens' Lax team too. This group has accomplished many firsts for the program such as a win over Maryland, first NCAA tourney victory, and all sorts of individual records. Lacrosse is a pretty interesting sport, and in my opinion, worth watching.

I haven't been following it much, but have watched a game from time to time. Tomorrow's match against Yale will be tough. Yale is the only team to beat PSU back in February; it was early, but still. Also, Yale is last year's NCAA champs.

UVA won in second overtime 13 to 12. Yale sprinted out to a 10-2 lead over PSU in first quarter. Penn State closed to 12-9 at end of 2nd quarter, led by (finally) some face-off wins by Penn State (two by Arceri led to goals). Fingers crossed! Go Penn State!
Unfortunately, Yale's experience helped them prevail. It will be a Duke vs Yale final.
The way Yale came out in the first quarter (up by 10 to 1), on what arguably was a home field for Penn State, reminded me of how Penn State blitzed Washington in the NCAA semifinal in Seattle in 2013. Oh well.
