Another worrying performance. Defense better but offensive line was "offensive" especially in first half. Part of the issue appears to be game planning. At least in the second half the attack was adjusted but only one TD. Pitt is not as good as most of the rest of the teams on our schedule.

I agree, But this game is a rivalry, And players tend to play above their heads in such meetings.

But of course wins, even ugly ones, are good. My concerns are the continued struggles of the offensive line. The Franklin system makes it pretty difficult to run block. But we struggled with pass protection this time too-meaning we had to keep extra folks in and utilize bubble screens and the like. Friermuth had one reception. These are troubling situations and could lead to very bad results down the road if not addressed. Have no idea if Maryland is very good, or given the Temple result, not much improved from last season. With some time off, both squads will have a chance to clean stuff up. The schedule just gets more difficult from here on out.

I don't think I'd plan on going to a New Year's Bowl.

Maryland helping the team's confidence. However for the first time in a long time, the O line is opening holes.

Yeah, PSU up 38-0 at the half. Best performance this year (so far).

Another beat down of Maryland. Franklin's favorite thing to do. Hopefully the good vibes will carry over against Purdue.

Agree 100%, Maybe Clifford is coming into his own, Or Maryland is just that bad. Apparently, this is not the first time Maryland choked during a sellout. Many dumb penalties coupled with poor decision making helped us out a lot. So Maryland was just that bad. But ... many of Clifford's passes were right on the mark, the receivers did not drop balls, the line created space for the backs, and Clifford made really good choices about when to run. PSU really seemed like they made progress during the off week. So as usual, a combination of both.

Just watched some highlights from the Michigan v Penn State 'whiteout' game' and although, being from England, I know very little about American Football, I must say I was blown away with the sheer spectacle and size of the occasion. I watched the 'pre-game rush' and also the first and last 15 minutes of the game as well as the post game interviews etc. The aerial shots of the stadium were great and I loved the passion of the players and the incredible support of the fans. Very impressive!!
