I created this thread so I can track Kendall's digs this season. Hopefully, she'll stay healthy to the end, cause we sure need her.
As of 12/01/19, she has 1,943 career digs.
The program record is held by Kaleena (Walters) Davidson at 1,957. White needs only 15 more digs to break the record. White is averaging 4 digs per set this year.
Conference Matches: 11/20 @ Indiana = 13 digs 11/24 @ Rutgers = 8 digs 11/29 vs Wisconsin = 14 digs 11/30 vs Minnesota = 19 digs
Tournament Matches:
12/06 Round 1 = ? digs 12/07 Round 2 = ? digs 12/13 Round 3= ? digs

Well thank you NittanyLions for your effort on our behalf. It is appreciated. Just a quick question, you say she needs 170 digs to break PSU record does anyone know what the national record is.

I'd hate to ask. I imagine it's nearly insurmountable for KW. The better a team is at blocking the less digs the backrow players get. PSU has always been known as a great blocking team.

I tried looking it up, but to no avail. I found plenty of links to stats, but they are all year-to-year. Nothing cumulative.
I'm sure it's been published somewhere, I just don't have the time to do an exhaustive search.

Yikes! 3,176 digs is a massive number. That's an average 6.57 digs per set over the course of her entire career. Yowza!! And people talk about Hentz being a digging machine. Of course, I'm sure the competition wasn't exactly killing it either.

Thank you KittinningLion for your diligent research, The only thing I can assume from that number of digs is that Chattanooga had no block whatsoever. And unfortunately we all know what happens when we assume.

1,818 for White now. 140 more to go to break the record.
EDIT: 1,832 for Kendall after the 11/08 Indiana match; 126 to go.
Mary Lake has 1,801 for BYU and has just set the school record.

1,861 for Kendall after the 11/09 Purdue match.
97 to go!!! The program record is held by Kaleena (Walters) Davidson at 1,957.
With 6 regular season matches left, she'll have to average just over 16 per match to break the record before the tourney begins.

WE know she's good. So fun to have stats that prove it to all. Used to have a boss who always said "without data, yours is just an opinion."
