Impressive to see Gabby set. She sets across to court so well. Having played a little, I know how hard that can be. With you on that one, jojonito, I played quite a lot but still always found the big cross court set hard to time properly. Some of Gabby's setting off awkward first passes is jaw-droppingly good.

Just came home from the game at Rutgers, Had a nice crowd for a change, seeing them in person is so much better. Congrats ladies on a job well done.

Does anyone know what happened to Cathey?
Is she OK? Was she just ill or is she injured?

I don't know, but for a couple of matches, she has had a black wrap of some kind on one leg (do not remember which) covered mostly by the standard white knee wrap. Maybe just resting her to give whatever it is more time to recover?

Maybe just resting her to give whatever it is more time to recover? My guess is it's an effort to give her some rest. The fact that Russ gave Clark, Bailey, and Phegley each a set seems to me he's looking for the best back-up and gave each of them a full set to impress or not. If the team needed a replacement, I'd guess he'd have that person working with the team for all three sets to build comfort in advance of this weekend's slate. Then again, what do I know!
