Responding to the Tori posting...
You can say that again! Well, maybe.

I'm not aware of a large, vocal "no way it can work, no chance" crowd. Maybe Steve is confusing it with the " really hope it can work, and I'll work like heck to find a way, but we need to be careful -- lives are at stake." crowd. I'm part of that crowd. I think the "no way it can work" crowd is mostly thinking about football, whose logistics are far more complex than those of volleyball. So, entirely predictably, schools are reporting huge numbers of infections as students return to campuses - and act like young people. Unless students can be effectively vaccinated, the only way any activity (not just sports) can be safely performed is in some sort of bubble.

AND...wait for it...we'll finally KNOW when spring season occurs. At least I'm assuming it will no longer be a state secret.

Asking the players to practice in the fall and then start up again in January with no certainty of a spring season is expecting a lot.
One of Stanford's key upperclassmen decided it was too much sacrifice with no guarantee of a season and decided to focus on academics and end her volleyball career. I expect there will some player dropout throughout the country, particularly if Covid-19 takes a turn for the worse during Winter.

Curious about the schedule. This is the first I've seen of what the schedule would have been. Anyone have the complete non-conference sched up their sleeve...?

I overheard before a practice early last season that Iowa State, LSU, and potentially Pitt were likely going to come to Rec Hall for one of the program’s non-conference tournaments.
