In other news.... (a Catch-all Thread - Spoilers)

Thanks to Stanford's debacle against Arizona.  That was the worst I have ever seen Stanford play by far since I started following them.  This season Stanford is irrelevant for final four discussion.

Also, Penn State was going against an Illinois squad that was missing two key players, so that helped mitigate PSU's absentees.  I don't know whether Arizona was missing any players.

Really interesting Ethan, a fascinating insight into how the players view each other.  There seems to be great camaraderie building which can only make the team stronger. 

I'm a bit puzzled as to how the freshmen can have two seasons as freshmen.  Academically, surely they'll be sophomores in September?  Also, I know stats are huge in the US so won't being freshmen for two years give them an unfair advantage over pre-pandemic one-year freshmen?  Finally what happens in their 4th year?  They will still be athletic juniors but will be completing their academic studies as seniors.  Do they come back and just play volleyball for an extra year as athletic seniors who have already graduated?
