Looks like Kaitlyn Hord will unfortunately have to wait to make her first U.S. women’s national team training camp appearance. Hord was scheduled to practice with the team March 14-21 in Anaheim, California. Penn State’s closure of campus through at least April 6 due to coronavirus will also likely affect the Nittany Lions’ spring practice schedule.

Sadly things will be much worse by March 22 so USAV will have to extend the cancellation of events for a much longer time. My guess is at least into the summer. The SoCal club tournaments have already been cancelled through the end of the season.

Any thoughts on 2020 season postponed, canceled?
Looking at the curve of both China and Italy (the US is about 10 days behind italy) and it’s been a 3 month curve.
Just thinking about 2020 seniors graduating.
Camps this summer?
Recruits reporting in less the 3 months?
Preseason?
Will they play a shortened season?
Seeing Florida beaches packed with people and 7 states taking no measures at all doesn’t seem that everyone is doing their part to flatten the curve.
Also, my kids are driving me crazy and need some adult conversation.

It might even be with only families in attendance (this is all pure speculation on my part). I really feel for the players, their families -- everyone, really. But this will be resolved -- when, I don't know (obviously). My optimistic guess is sometime in late May. My more cautious guess says July or sometime in August. I hope my optimistic moments come true. And thanks for visiting. Community in time of need is really important. |

Unfortunately the beaches in Florida are packed with people that are about to travel home....However, I feel like we will have a 2020 season!
