Where is the PSU team and what have they done with them? PSU looks like GT this morning. Well there are always players on the other side of the net too.

George Tech is a better team than St. John's. But I still wonder what Russ had to say to the team between matches!

As Paul Sunderland is fond of quoting Hugh, "Sometimes you have to give credit to your opponent and just let it go." GT played well this morning, but PSU didn't. I wouldn't mind PSU matching up with GT in the NCAA's. By that time, I think PSU will have their act together.

Great bounce back win. Glad we didn’t hang our heads after the tough loss this morning. Still a lot of surprises out there. Jonni now setting? Again Outside Hitters played pretty much all around and no DS’s. AC barely playing. I wonder if this trend will continue. Not sure if this style of play will work in B10

So, is UCF as good as, better or worse than GT?

GT entered the season ranked at #24. So probably better. But they play on ESPN+ tonight, so we can see how much better.

So, is UCF as good as, better or worse than GT? 1) non-serious answer: yes 2) serious answer: I have no idea. I'll let myself out.

Assuming that the people voting in the AVCA poll actually looked at some teams We know how that can go. I think that sometimes I could do as good a job and as Tommy Smothers used to say, "And that is NOT a compliment."

Rollins is the dig master for the match with 11. Jenna and Gabby were next with 6.

Again Outside Hitters played pretty much all around and no DS’s. AC barely playing. I wonder if this trend will continue. Not sure if this style of play will work in B10 I recall in prior seasons Coach commenting that Jonni would like to set more. With the addition of Pritchard and Rollins, there is much more depth this year than in previous incarnations, so it might not be essential to have Jonni hit from all over the place as was done did last year. We all have commented on the impact of Blossom's lack of height. In fact, many teams have taken advantage of that circumstance in the past. So one solution is a 6/2 or a modified version of that. (An alternative solution is for Gabby to get taller, but that seems a bit unlikely). If I am not mistaken, Kudryshova is 7 inches taller than Blossom-that could make a big difference in our defense, especially against teams whose primary hitter is on that side. Unquestionably, it is harder to work with two setters rather than one. But having a 6 rotation player who can stay on the floor and set eases one of the problems (running out of subs). As a final point-against GT we removed all the setters for the final point of one set (Blossom and Parker were both subbed out). In the snippet of the stream I saw, that left Hampton and Menger talking to each other I guess about who would set. Turned out to be moot since Menger's serve was long.
