But, we are good enough to pull the upset tomorrow night. So, hope springs eternal. Yes, Stanford is in a rebuilding year. PSU will win 3-0 and look like a different team than tonight. I wouldn't look at it as an upset for Penn State to win.

So I try not to be too critical, and would like to credit Oregon for making us look bad. However, the ladies contributed substantially to their own demise. At many critical junctures, different players made key errors. I suppose it would be fair to say that when the opponent is top level, all mistakes become critical.

Hugh McCutcheon has a quote some something like, "At some point you just have to give credit to your opponent and move on." Which is true for this match, but, as you pointed out, the ladies contributed to their own demise (to their loss also ). There were times when PSU had OR on the run and out of their system, but unfortunately they couldn't keep it going. PSU needs time for their serve receive to improve and for their hitting to get better. Even with good serve receive, PSU frequently didn't do as well as they could have.

The Gorge Amphitheatre in Grant County, Washington. It was an incredible show. The venue, visuals, and music were amazing.
