That was really painful. This PSU team is a conundrum. Play really well against OH. Then play poorly against MD but get better thru-out the match and win. Then this disaster. Oh well. I don't think I'd characterize this match as a "disaster" -- that would have been a five-set loss (or worse). But Penn State definitely was "off" tonight.

BTW, I agree with whomever alluded to this earlier, the number of challenges really seemed to be a function of poor officiating, rather than the coaches jockeying for advantage. Given no replay camera, impossible to comment on whether the reverses were correct. Regardless, I can't remember ever seeing so many calls reversed in one match. Anyone?

At least, from the point of the coaches, (particularly Aird), they continued to have challenges as long as they were right. Can you imagine how upset the coaches would be if they only had 3 challenges regardless if they were right or not?

Did she travel w/the team? I don't know. I would doubt it, given that she didn't play on a night when the OHs were having a rough time offensively.

Any word on Erika Pritchard? I didn't see her on the floor. And can someone tell me who the drunk was doing the camera work.

That without a doubt was the worst camera work I have ever seen.

Need to find out what's up with Pritchard. Sound like a job for ethankasales . I'm assuming it's an injury -- I don't believe it's academics (doesn't make sense, given that she's a graduate student) and if it's an injury, no school will discuss it other than to say she's out with an injury. I imagine they didn't make an announcement prior to Maryland or this match so as not to give away anything to their opponents. It's not a secret now (she's missed two games) but they may not say whether she'll play next game. They may not know, and why should they say anything? Keep their opponents guessing.

Thanks, Ethan, now if you can take a hint from WestEnder, see if you can figure out where, is Erica, or waldo if the former is too tough.
