I only was able to catch the third set - was great watching them come back after being down and closing out!

I think the entire team played well -- things to clean up and improve on, sure, but they didn't look like they were strangers on the court, which very much could have been the case with eight newcomers out of 17 players. And they showed toughness in the 3rd set. Need to be a bit better serving -- but all of us have seen worse showings. All in all, well done. Capped off by KSC tossing the game ball back to the team!

Enjoyed watching the team tonight! They were having a great time out there and were calm the entire match. Starck’s passing and back row defense is SOLID!! Team puts up a big block, attack was balanced, and the players were scrappy! Excited for the season and this team!!

4 Players had 8 or more Ks. Zoe W, AK each had 8...and I didn't know we'd see AK in there! MBs Allie H had 10 (even tho 2 others were ruled carries ( ) and newcomer Tay T had 9. Team hit .313; UConn hit .105 Grimes was a starter ! and had 6 digs v L. Maddie's 12. Starck had 7 digs and 6 Ks. Grimes is a strong server under the pressure of first college outing. Impressive. There were 5 Aces spilt among: Grimes, Holland, Elisaia, Zoe Weatherington, and Keurchen. Lots of folks ocntributed to the block party, but Tay T led w 3; Holland and Elisaia @2.

No live stream available in England for the season opener but just enjoyed reading all the comments. Sounds like KSC has made a good start with a sound team performance and great team spirit. Are there any video highlights available anywhere? If so, a link would be much appreciated. I watched LSU live on the ESPN Player last night and they looked very good, so the match with PSU on Saturday already looks like it could be a cracker. Thankfully ESPN Player will have that one live so I'll be able to watch it. Can't wait!!

Right before this photo, KSC had been handed the game ball by an official; she immediately threw it to the players. In that moment, the admiration between them all was palpable. Great moment.

Totally agree -- such a classy move by KSC, and I think it epitomizes who she is and why her players really respect and respond to her coaching and mentoring.
