And, most importantly, new setter; one of the best in her class. I'm excited to see Izzy Starck in action. Mac is one of the best in her class. I thought we were discussing next year's class? |

Like this year’s team, next year’s team will need transfer help to be competitive. But that will be harder to come by with Covid extensions coming to an end.

Wonder how PSU can be so explosive in set 2 and then fall apart in set 4 and finished (I'm frustrated) in set 5  ?? Many questions. This TEAM has the potential to succeed in the upcoming National Tournament but we can not continue to falter by countless hitting errors and not communicating effectively through the ENTIRE match The very big difference with the top 5 ranked teams and PSU is they consistently are being developed forward each and every game. We need to insert different people when it appears that some are at a point of struggle. Recognize it quickly and let them sit back and watch and reset themselves for better efforts. We are getting into a recognizable rotation that is not explosive enough with this TALENT. SHAKE IT UP !!!!!!!!!!!!! |

No middles will be left. Zoe will be gone Who knows if Jess will have an arm left. Who knows. I have a feeling there was some reason that Jess and Mac both ended up at PSU — dream to play at the collegiate level together and it just so happened to work out that they could do it with PSU scholarship availability. Who knows maybe Jess leaves after getting her second degree and explores the pro life ? Allie and Taylor (as well as Jess and Cam) all have one more year of eligibility - The only key players who will exhaust their eligibility when this year ends are Mac and Zoe. Jess is pursuing her MBA, so I'm guessing that whether she's here for the 2024 season may depend more on her MBA program than Mac's presence, or Jess' pro aspirations. |

It is my understanding that Penn State's MBA program is now a 1-year program. |

PSU had 4 aces in the set and an additional number of serves that put MSU oos. It wasn't that PSU was so explosive; it was that MSU was making a lot of errors/bad passes. To me, the problem with this match was more the pass receiving; it was pretty crummy; and the hitting wasn't that good. There were fairly long periods of time where PSU was having trouble finding the floor with their attacks. Granted, the bad passing leads to bad hitting. But good teams can put the ball down semi-regularly when oos , whereas PSU just doesn't have the hitters, and some times the setter, to do that. The 3rd set was a story of PSU blocking. PSU had 6 blocks and a ton of soft blocks. BUT, MSU adjusted in the 4th set and PSU play was a lot sloppier. I'm still not that happy with Mac's setting. It's been better, but it still doesn't seem to be as good as a lot of the other setters in the B1G. Too many sets to the middles that the middles can't do much with. Maybe it's the middles, but, in my opinion, (which probably isn't worth that much  ), the middles have done pretty well with other setters. Just too many sets by Mac that are off a bit. Yes, she's running around a lot, but so was Blossom two years ago and she did a better job. It seems to me that if PSU defense isn't quite good, then PSU will lose against the good teams, cuz the passing and hitting just is at best average. |

cant wait to see Ava with this team. Won't be this team. Will be with different setter and sans others who will graduate or transfer. But I too am hoping that our new recruits have an immediate impact as we see with other top programs and that we can build around them. |
