Here are the transcripts from KSC, Anjelina Starck, and Maggie Mendelson’s press conferences Tuesday before practice at Rec Hall. I apologize for not publishing articles in a timely manner lately. I need to do a better job of that moving forward this season. ... Maybe you need to spend more time in the weight room. 
Seriously, no apologies necessary as you put in so much time/effort in covering PSU volleyball. I really appreciate everything you do for this web site ( and Dan also). I especially like the transcripts from the press conferences. So thanks.
And thanks Dan, for setting up all the threads for the games. Much appreciated.

So perhaps I was not paying sufficient attention in prior years, but it sure seems like there are more top 25 matches in the pre season this year than has historically been the case. Last night during the Florida/Florida State match, they mentioned "rivalry week." Is that really a thing?
I know that the coaches are responsible to organize the pre season schedule, and it may be somewhat a matter of luck whether or not a long planned opponent will be highly ranked, but if so, then there has been extraordinary luck this year.
The other thing I wonder about is what would motivate a relatively weak team from agreeing to travel to a place like State College for a pre season tourney. Do the traveling teams get some money or maybe the hotel rooms are covered?
Regardless of how it happened, it seems obvious that Coach Katie felt this this group would be up for a serious challenge in the pre season and agreed to travel to programs who were projected to be really good. Presumably these experiences will help set the group up for Conference play. But it sure has been fun watching so many top teams test each other this early in the season.
