As I’m sure you all have noticed, I’ve been doing an absolutely horrible job this season of posting articles at all, let alone in a timely manner, so I wanted to try to somewhat explain my situation. I’ve been having some significant health issues and difficulties at my restaurant-industry day job that have been fairly draining. I need a right-hip replacement in the coming months due to my psoriatic arthritis and have struggled to keep my head above water, not only from a volleyball coverage standpoint, but in my everyday life. I’m working on a compilation article that features all the missed postgame press conference transcripts, blurbs about the recent matches, and a rundown of the latest news items surrounding the team, of which there are many. I also still have the Tuesday transcripts to post from this week and last. I have some interviews with the Penn State commits from the 2026 class during their official visits and my conversation with Marin Collins, Lexi Gin, and Gabby Nichols (from this summer!) that I still need to publish. There really isn’t an excuse for my lack of professionalism, especially this year of all seasons given how well the team is playing. I feel very badly about how far I’ve let myself get behind on things. I know I’m letting people down who read the site/forum and are looking for updates that would usually be posted by now. I very much appreciate people’s understanding. No one feels worse about this than me, as I am prone to being particularly hard on myself. Like I said, there isn’t an excuse, but I just wanted to fill you all in on what’s going on with me. You all deserve the best Penn State volleyball coverage possible, and it’s clear I haven’t been coming through on that for several seasons now (in terms of writing more feature articles and doing more than the bare minimum). Sorry for the short novel, but I have been wanting to get this out there for some time now.

Please take care of yourself! Well enjoy the updates as you are able to post them and can share among each other as we get any info - your health and well being come first!

Ethan, please take care of yourself. That comes first and is the most important. As Cindy says, we will enjoy your articles when you are able to publish them. Do not take on more pressure by feeling obligated to publish.

Your in-depth coverage of the sport and insightful commentary have been invaluable to us as fans. Having said that, it is more important for us that you prioritize your health. Although we all have a deep love for this sport and our team, it is important to acknowledge that its significance is secondary to the health and well-being of our friends and family. I want to assure you that the success of this year's team is more than enough to satisfy us, the hungry fans.

Thank you Ethan for all you have done and are continuing to do for this group and the team. You are the furthest point from letting anyone on this forum down and I know we all greatly appreciate your efforts while going through real life issues. We understand and hope you have an easy and speedy recovery after your surgery. Thank you for your openness to your situation and praying for and wishing you the best!
