That Pitt team has been playing together since the Obama Administration. Did I hear they have a 6th year player? They made virtually no mistakes, and they and their fans couldn't wait to beat up on any Penn State team. Losing 3 straight years in the Final Four will do that. Our team kind of needed a wake up call, and they sure got it. A non-conference loss to the #1 team isn't a disaster. But much improvement needed.

I do believe you are never as good or bad as you look. Pitt was fired up with a strong fan base behind them. Our inexperience showed, but I trust this team will learn from it and better days are ahead than Wednesday.
On the other side, Pitt really looked strong with little in the way of weaknesses. Perhaps they are as good as the looked.

Need to keep in mind that Louisville was swept by us and Nebraska was swept by SMU. So very good teams get swept. Let's see what happens this weekend, and especially at Purdue next week. Gotta learn and grow fast. at least we were swept by the #1 team at their home. On September 2, 2007, Penn State was swept by Nebraska in Omaha. That Penn State team did alright. (Hint: 1st of four consecutive somethings)

Let's not move the goalposts on this team. Tell me who wouldn't take one loss in this tough non-con schedule? (Don't make me eat my words this weekend!)
We looked almost exactly like Louisville did in our match. On the road. Tough environment. Got thumped. Moved on.
Let's figure it out this weekend, brush it off, and get it rolling for Big Ten play.
