I agree. Did not expect a sweep. What is great about this team is when someone, say Cam or CJ, is off, we have enough pieces to still win, unlike last year. I still want to see Markley play. I am not sold on CJ. I feel Katie keeps her in because of loyalty to get her from the portal and her sister coming in. I am certain she will be a star in 1-2 years but right now, I do not feel she deserves the starting position.

I am not sold on CJ. .... This reminds me of the PSU glory days teams. All 5 hitters could hurt you. This team isn't there yet, but they sure do have a lot of talent.
I understand your feeling about CJ, but she hit .455 tonight. Now I know she hasn't been consistent. IMHO, Caroline can go off on teams where I just don't think Markley can. Just my opinion. We'll see how things go.

Watching on the play by play app it looked like we were oos more in sets 1/2. By set 3 nearly all kills came by way of assist from Izzy.
5 other players had assists in the match.

To be honest, I was surprised by CJ stats. I think the 3rd set was where she got most of her kills. Visually, she did not seem to be .455. I would like to see more fight for the position rather than CJ staying in even when struggling. This is nothing against her but I like when coached pull players and give them time to think. Get them fired up when they go back in

I'm listening to Mac on the BTN show, I'm impressed. She's pretty good. I also watched the post game and it sounded like Mac was surprised she was sitting there. I think she does a good job as a commentator .... maybe the next Emily E. |
