Not a great match, but a workmanlike job. I'll take it.
Edit: Again, not everybody playing well. It will come.

75-51 against a team that took a set from us at our house. I’m OK w that.

Did anyone notice that Jordan came in briefly or was that my imagination? Annoucers never mentioned it as they were so busy talking.

Playing on the road in the B1G is tough.

I was so busy typing stuff that I missed that. Like you say, unfortunately the announcers shared a lot of facts, but missed most of the ref's signals and subs. Oh well.
Speaking of Jordan, is this her last year or does she have another year of eligibility available?

It was mentioned that she had 2 years of eligibility when she came here. Don't know what her grad program entails, but it would be great to have her here next season with Taylor moving on.

I did some poking around the stats yesterday and saw something pretty interesting. When Caroline is hitting above 0.250, 9/10 times it ends up in a sweep. The only time it didn't was Yale and that should've been a sweep.
The only sweep where she hit below that was against Ball State. Every other time she hit below that number we lost at least 1 set or lost. This is not to say it is her fault, I personally think she has done a good job so far as our opposite especially as a freshman. I just find it interesting that she has somewhat become the barometer for how the team is generally going to come out.
I also want to commend her cause I get to games very early and see them get their early hits. I see her really try to practice other shots that would be considerably lower risk for times where the connection isn't there.
As for this game, is it the prettiest? No, but it is a win. Not every game has to be great. As long as this team keeps pulling out the good stuff for the important games, and if they want to do a notch (not many notches but a notch) lower for other games, as long as they still win with an okay margin I will be content.

Do you think that reflects the passing is better, which enables better set location and, therefore, better chances for CJ?

Barometer,, great analogy. Correlation to opponents left pin block plan. . . And adjustments PSU can make.
I also got to point out that sometimes there may be an element of poor choices in setting. If you give her a low ball when the blocks going up she has to reprogram midair. Hard to do as frosh
