I thought that also at first, but just looking at them referencing October means they have included regular and pre season in those stats. You are right, doesn't matter now but shows how lazy reporters are getting since it happened this season. It will be interesting to see how Inky fits in with this new class coming in. I see more surprises coming in this tournament! Do tell.
The two Michigan's have been known to be trouble for PAC12. I see possibly 1 upset here. I picked UCLA to make it to FF but that was before Bracket came out

I don't know why, but it seems I have an aversion towards that school. Oh, now I remember, it's because they always seem to get a top 4 seed and don't play tough opponents in the regular season.

We'll know when we see them. We can only hope we're not "pie-in-the-face" recipients. I trust in Russ. I don't believe they'll lose to Dayton, HI, or TX A&M, but any one of them could take PSU to 5.

I don't think Rose is the issue, although like a ship's captain, responsibility is ultimately his. I have no doubt that he as done everything in his power to prepare the team.
Something to look forward to? Whoever wins the Des Moines Regional has a relatively short ride to Omaha.

To be fair Stanford should have / could have won a National Championship with the teams they put on the floor in 2013 and 2014 (made up mostly of that 2012 class), they were really excellent teams. They always concerned me. Unfortunately for them, they ran into the Hancock-led PSU buzzsaw. Perhaps in an alternate universe where PSU doesn't exist, Stanford would have 10 National Championships. This reminds me of my favorite NASCAR race car driver, Mark Martin. Had Dale Earnhardt (7 Time Champion) not been there, Mark would have won a few championships because he always seemed to come in 2nd place behind Dale every year. To bring it back to volleyball, not only Stanford(5 times) but California(4 in a row) and now Wisconsin's(twice) dreams of Winning a National Championship have ended at the hands of Penn State.
Ohhhh... the dreams which that bad, nasty Russ Rose has shattered. It makes me want to sing an ode of lamentation.

1st of 7 BIG 10 teams wins in a sweep. Ohio State takes out American to await the winner of Washington/Michigan State to see who moves on to the Regionals.
#16 seed Creighton takes out North Carolina in 4 sets. Moves on to take on #1 seed USC on Friday.

Marquette takes set 1 from Minnesota!!! Also, they're up 5-0 on Minney in the 2nd set.
And the onslaught of upsets continues.

Michigan takes set 1 from UCLA 25-23 and takes set 2 by score of 26-24. Up 2 sets to 0. UCLA takes set 3: 25-22' UCLA hanging tough takes set 4; 25-20. On to set 5 where it's anybody's match to win or lose. UCLA outlasts Michian and takes set 5; 15-11. Three PAC12 and 6 BIG 10 teams move on to Regionals. Michigan State takes set 2 from Washington - Tied 1 set apiece! Washington takes set 3. Up 2-1. Michigan State falls apart and loses set 4; 25-13. Huskies just too much for Spartans at the end. Huskies move on to play another BIG 10 team; Ohio State on Friday.

If Michigan upsets UCLA then they will Play Texas but I would like to see a Texas vs Wisconsin (rematch) this time in Regional Final instead of Sem-Finals.

That famous 2012 class could never live up to its hype. That's a bit harsh IMO. Stanford had great teams in 2013 and 2014 that were fully capable of, and came very close to winning the NCAA crown. The Stanford-PSU semi-final in 2014 was the de facto NCAA title game. And losing Ajanaku in 2015 was a cruel blow that really hindered their chances this season.

It is harsh to say the 2012 class couldn't live up to its hype. But there was a lot of hype and as a non-Stanford fan, it got kind of old. I'm sure non-PSU fans get tired of hearing all the clichés that come with "our" team--Courtney's high volleyball IQ, our best recruiting class ever, watch how Hancock's serve breaks to the left. I get tired of hearing it as a PSU fan.
Personally, I think talking about the "de facto Championship games" between PSU and Stanford in 2013 and 2014 sell short the teams PSU actually played.
I hope Ajanaku makes a full recovery.
I look forward to your joining the discussion.
