Is Penn State still recruiting for 2016? I hate to be the constant Schultz here, but no idea. My guess is yes.

One of my favorite comedy shows. I get a chuckle out of hearing Schultz's legendary line.

Being a newcomer to WVB, who would be the ideal OH's to go with who they already have for 2018? Not an expert, but alot of people appear to think Thayer Hall is very good. www.gatorade.com/poy/profile.aspx?id=16164

Even though that's disappointing, we do have few players expected for the 2018 season. I am more disappointed for the 2017 season when we have only 1 recruit as of now. Maybe someone(OH) will transfer to PSU next year.

I say this with great trepidation-do you think the Sandusky scandal is still casting its shadow?
We alums and in-state types may have made our peace with it (good or bad) but it may be a real sticking point for some.

We are missing out on so many of the top recruits according to prepvolleyball. You can only coach-up lesser players so much. So much turnover in the coaching staff has really hurt the program going forward. Meanwhile Nebraska and Florida will have multiple future AAs sitting on the bench.

You would think PSU would get at least 1 highly ranked player to commit somehow when all the competitive schools are getting multiple players. Just wondering what's going on?

I think the coaching turnover has had alot to do wiith the missing out on prospects. That's obviously the impression of someone looking from the outside, but it makes sense to me. Hopefully, with Salima and Craig on board, things will stabilize. Another possible reason is that the uber-highly rated 2014 class kept 2015, 2016 and 2017 players from commiting. Don't know if that played any role, and perhaps it played none, but it's another possible factor. A final possibility is that because recruiting is so highly competitive, it may be nothing more than a streak of close-but-no-cigar misses.
