PSU takes set 4 by a score of 25-20, but allowed the Buffs 4 straight points before closing it out. On to set 5.

Well, CO is up 8-1 in set 5. Gonna have to chalk this loss up to learning curve material.

Well that was a bit embarrasing. Set 5 loss by score of 15-3. Going to be a long season, again.
PSU need a setter; just no other way to say it. Every other aspect of the game can be cleaned up.
We could end up with a 1-3 record by tomorrow night. I'm sure that will be a rare one for a Russ Rose led squad.

PSU has fallen way behind on talent! There is no defense , setting or serving. Hope there are some seriously talented recruits on the horizon or this could be a long road back for this program.

Sorry to all for not getting in to make a comment. I'll put some remarks together Sunday morning,
Post-game arrangements at Colorado differ from those at PSU. I'll explain how that changes what I'm able to tell you.
I also watched all but the beginning of the Stanford - Illinois match.

Negative Nellies should be reminded that this was another 5 set loss. You don't go to 5 on your record from long ago. You go because you managed one way or anther to tie through 4. Collapse yes is sad but not the end of the VB world. They were not tired(If you have been to South Gym during pre season you know that these young woman are in shape big time). Mental, maybe , but the Wizard will find some remedy for that. Note White had another big dig day. But serving is unreal and that is mental. Setting is a challenge but I am not as negative as some on this forum about the setters. Changing setters changes the hitter s if only slightly and that is not an easy transition. We had some tough times during the early part of the 2000's before running off an unbelievable win record. We recovered . We will again
