I dunno, if Nebraska wins it, we can be happy that the original B1G remains without a championship.

The thing is they can afford an off night from a player or 2 in a big match and stay in to possibly win. PSU cant.
Gotta have all cylinders firing. Can PSU do that for 4 matches in a row in Dec? OF course they can just gunna take a some good fortune.

They will become as haughty as us PSU fans. Kidding, of course. At least the majority of VT'ers will have a new target to criticize if Nebraska wins another one.

PSU is very thin in terms of personnel. They don't have anybody to replace starters having a bad night. They're all trying as hard as they can. They're not giving up on each other. When all cylinders are firing, they can play with anyone. They're not machines. I'm proud of their effort. I like these kids. Hopefully, they go somewhere and surprise the hell out of their first & second round host. They can make this a memorable season.

Considering that the majority, if not all, of PSU's playoff matches will be on the road. And you all know how bad we've been on the road. Heck, we can only compete with good opponents at home.

They will probably make the round of 16, but I don't see them going beyond that. And that would actually be OK with me considering their regular season record.

It would be swell if they could match what Purdue did a few years ago when they beat an undefeated Missouri team. That was cool!

Alli is sick and tired of making errors also.

Even with all the losses we have this year, I much prefer to be playing in a tough conference night in and night out. This way we know where we stand at the start of the NCAA tournament. I remember the year Missouri went undefeated in 2013; Missouri had Molly Kreklow setting for them. There was a lot of hype surrounding that team; however, they couldn't make it past round 2. They ended up losing to a mediocre (that is, mediocre for the B1G conference) Purdue team. The experience of playing tough opponents every night really pays off for the B1G teams, and it shows during the tourney.

I think the NCAA will try to make sure that no B1G teams meet in the first two rounds. If they do, we might have a good representation in the Sweet 16.

Nebraska tipped a lot and PSU seemed to be slow to respond

Wasn't there like 7 teams from the B1G last year in the sweet 16?

Are you saying we need to lower our expectations? Are you serious? No. Keep your expectations wherever you like. I don't see them getting a top 16 seed as things stand presently, but I don't think I'm on the selection committee's phone list. Hope the manner in which they close out the season exposes me as a pessimistic putz.
