The B1G-PAC-12 Challenge is being held at the University of Illinois' Huff Hall on Friday and Saturday, 8 and 9 September. On Friday, PSU plays Colorado at 4:30 PM. Illinois goes against 2016 National Champ Stanford at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, Illinois and Colorado lead off at 2:30 PM and Penn State and Stanford finish up at 5:00 PM.
The early Saturday starts are to accommodate at 7:00 PM football game as the Illini hosts Western Kentucky.
Now, the important information: The Illinois ticket office number is 217-333-3470. It's open between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Tickets for the Challenge go on sale on 10 August at 9:00 AM. When I spoke with the ticket office today (27 July) they weren't sure of their ticket prices. Nicole, who sounded like a very nice articulate young lady, expected reserve seat tickets would cost $10 - $15. General admission are expected to be $6. Nicole said they have tried to keep fans together--if they requested--in the past.
The main ticket guy's supposed to call me next week. I'll keep you posted.

OK, I got "the call" today. As I said, tickets go on sale on August 10th, at 9:00 AM CDT. They will not attempt to group away fans together by "affinity group." The ticket guy suggest requesting reserved tickets in sections 105 and 206. Those tickets will be $10/each. Balcony seats will be $6.00/each. SO, best idea I can suggest would be to determine if others plan attending and get tickets together. Who knows, site like DigNittany could serve as a clearing house.... Maybe those of you in the Booster Club to try for some sort of reciprocity angle. He did say that they provide tickets for players' families. Who knows what kind of magic connections can work.

I will see if I can find anything out about a Penn State Section. Thanks for checking on this, gnu2.

Still no indication that the Big Ten Network intends to broadcast or stream either PSU game.

Anybody have an e-mail address for BTN programming?

Or maybe go directly to Illinois? I'm envious. Sorry, I meant contact them directly. I'll post contact info tomorrow.

Just checked and now both the Illinois matches are scheduled on BTN Plus. Nothing on Penn State's matchups other than audio and stats. I sent an e-mail to BTN2GO today. Hoping for a reply. E-mail address I sent to was: btn2gosupport@btn.com. Don't know if I will get any answers. Maybe someone else has contact number or POC that would be closer to this issue.

The quality of PSU's "Official" Women's Volleyball webpage has really dropped over the last few years. It hasn't even displayed when there will be BTN coverage in the coming season--the Nebraska match for example. Very disappointing.
One thing for sure, there's not a glimmer of fan advocacy on the site.
Glad we have this site so we can keep our whining off VolleyTalk. Thanks Nyline.

I don't know what site PSU maui was looking at. I just checked BTN plus and the BTN network and there is no scheduled games for penn state woman's volleyball on either site. But if you would care to watch Texas A&M versus Lipscome that is there. I can't believe the big ten could there prejudice be more evident. I guess they are still phishstixed that no original big ten school has any championships. just PSU and Nebraska. Oh by the way Illinois Stanford match is there

It's always nice to receive praise, but at this point -- given that DigNittanyVolleyball Forum and DigNittanyVolleyball.com are fan-supported (both monetarily and in terms of content) -- the credit goes to everyone. If that sounds like a feel-good cliche, it's not: this really is a site by fans and for fans. So thanks to everyone -- active posters, and the silent majority who view but don't post (many of whom contributed to fund the sites). The Forum has really started to take off this season (there were over 14,000 page views this weekend from Friday through Sunday, compared to 5,900 for the same period last year) -- partly because the team is doing better, but partly because the quality of conversation is high, and posters are generally respectful of each other. That's due to all of you. So thanks to all of you. I really enjoy reading your posts and benefitting from your insights, and appreciate the support you give to DigNittanyVolleyball Forum and DigNittanyVolleyball.com.
