Just going to throw in a name here for consideration as starting DS...Taylor Krause. Great setter and DS in high school...saw many of those games. She can dig and pass, and sets up as a potential setter if the need arises. Size is against her, but I recall our National Championship setter who was also around 5'6"...Ms. Kristin Carpenter! Keep an eye out for Taylor!

And, Taylor is a lefty...distinct advantage setting.

Now, I think we may see PSU running 6-2 or double sub system like the US national team at some points. Coach Rose just said Rivera is stronger defensively, but I think it's too hard for her to play in the front row. So, I have thought that it would be possible to put her in for opposite in back row and make double sub to put another hitter in for Weiskircher in front row. They may try 6-2 with Rivera setting Whitney and Weiskircher setting Lee. With this system, all of our high-level players can see time on the court and make variety of offense to replace the loss of Hancock. There are too many possible formations for this team. I can't wait to watch the first match. Really excited for the season.

We for sure know a little more about what we will see from this year's lineup but I have a sneaky suspicion that Coach is not done tinkering with this lineup, in minor ways.
