Since the RPI is now out, I think they should start using that ranking system during matches instead of the non-relevant AVCA poll. Currently, Stanford is ranked below Oregon in the RPI.

Utah tries it's best to give up Set 1 at Washington, squandering a 24-21 lead and going down 24-25...before winning 27-25 #13 Washington having a tough time against the #14 Utes. If they lose here, they still have to play them in Utah where it seems to be always tough for them to win. I think it must be the altitude

Utah again almost chokes away a set...up 24-20, they give away four straight...but win 26-24, up 2-0. Washington is without their senior setter, and may have another key injury.

Washington wins the 4th, 25-23
Going 5. Utah had a 15-12 lead and gave up 6 points, which it could never climb back from.
Utah up 12-8...and now it's 12-11
Make that 12 all. Utah second TO
14-13 Utah, TO Washington
16-14, Utah wins 3-2

The PAC-12 is very unpredictable. I'm getting my arse kicked in PTW.
And just for those who remain unsure, it IS all about ME.

so who do we want to win. MSU or Wis? i really dislike everything about the state of Wisconsin.....so I go there. 😎 Well, MSU is taking it to WI. Beating them badly in the middle with the quick sets. Also, tough serving. Wisconsin has some issues on defense. I don't see them being in the running for the BIG 10 title. Looks like WI will be 2-4 in conference while MSU will be 5-1. After this win, we want MSU to keep winning until we play them as far as RPI.

That UBuff match was hard to watch. I saw more than I'd like of "get the ball over, 1-hit over the net" volleys and flat-footed "kill attempts." It was like watching junior high school JV, compared to B1G volleyball. We truly are spoiled.

Ha. That's my big beef w/jv coaches. The goal of the game IS NOT to get the ball over the net. It's to get it to land on the opps' side. Way too often: why attack the ball when you can bump it over? Aaaack!
