Well, the regular season is almost over. Just one more week and the 64 team field will be set on Sunday! The below matches are important in that the final 4 AQ's will be determined either by a conference tournament or best record in conference. I have also included link to the selection show below.

Teams with no tournament: (unless otherwise noted, each team has 2 more matches to play)

BIG 10 - Penn State (17-1), Nebraska (18-1) Nebraska has head to head TB for AQ

Auburn takes set 1 from Florida 25-22

Michigan takes set 1 from Purdue 25-23

Ohio State takes set 1 from Maryland 25-18. Ohio State needs to win both this weeks matches to have chance at post season although I am pulling for MD to get into tournament.

Louisville up 13-11 on Boston College in set 1.

Florida took it to Auburn in set two 25-10

Louisville takes set one 25-20 from BC

Nebraska takes set one from Northwestern 25-13 Don't see NE getting upset in this match...but we can still hope!

FL takes set 3 from Auburn 25-16. Close mid-way thru 4th at 17-16 Auburn

FL takes set four 25-22 and beats Auburn 3-1

In the meantime, IL takes 1st two sets from Iowa 25-19, 25-13

Louisville takes set two from BC 25-21. Late in set three BC leading 20-17

BC hangs on to win set three 25-23

KY takes set two 25-17

Stanford takes set one from Utah 25-19. Utah up in set two 11-6

Although Utah shot themselves in the foot with 3 straight unforced hitting errors in set 2 the refs blew two calls that went the Cardinal way. 1st one was when ball clearly broke plane of net and Utah setter went up to contact ball and ref called her over net and second bad call was when Stanford blocked setter from setting ball that didn't break plane of net. Still Utah's unforced hitting errors are killing them.

Stanford wins set two 25-22 Here is something to ponder...both teams hit .050 that set!

Stanford takes set three 25-21 for the sweep of Utah.

They've got a LOT of high quality players: Kieffer-Wright; Skjodt (just got 1 or 2 PoW awards); Lambert; Welsh; Lerg; sometimes Smith. I saw Coach following Lerg off the floor after the game at Rec Hall, and assumed he was telling her what a good job she'd done.

Just haven't been consistent, but seem to be gaining, not losing, steam. 4 game W streak; 10-9 in the B1G.
