Unfortunately for Micha, USA will probably bring only two setters. Even though Micha has out-performed Carlini, Cheesehead Jesus has the big Adidas contract. That means pressure to put her higher on the roster than Micha.

Or the 2017 PanAm Cup games where Micha was named MVP, Best Setter and Best Server. Carlini was the starter in the first couple of games but replaced by Micha for the rest of the tournament.

So does this mean that Megan Courtney is back playing? I did not see updates on USA Volleyball or elsewhere.

Will PSU supporters ever forgive Carlini for being talented?
Seems like it is time to move on.

Could be wrong, but many of us sensed poor sportsmanship on her part; also found it interesting that in USNT play, Karch never seemed to put Courtney and Hancock together. Put Courtney w/Carlini. Again, could be wrong, but never saw her set Courtney. Again, could be wrong, and I didn't watch everything. But it was an impression. I think there's a long history there and I think we on this site are not the ones with the problem. We are merely reacting to it.
There are a number of players -- even from NE! -- that I feel good seeing play. So it's not that we can't get over certain rivalries.
If we offend thee, please avert your eyes.

L feel very comfortable saying that if Carlini did not set Megan Karch would have pulled her quickly.
There is NO time for these athletes to use such bad judgment with out being severely reprimanded.

I wasn't watching the matches, but I tend to agree -- I don't think any coach would have put up with that if he or she saw it (and if it happened, and they didn't see it, they shouldn't be coach).

I've made no secret that I'm not sophisticated enough to appreciate the skills of Wisconsin's former setter (WFS). I always thought Hancock brought more to the table.
But no matter. Karch hasn't called me for advice. He will decide who plays for the National Team and how they will play.
I'm OK letting "it" go and ceasing discussing my feelings on the issue. I don't have the time or inclination to follow National Team developments. I hope the team is successful. Maybe if WFS leads the team to a Gold Medal I'll be able to get past my doubts. Did her club teams or high school teams win any championships?

Micha made the 14-player roster for the first round. She will be the only Penn State alum in uniform that weekend. No Cheesehead Jesus. May 15-17 Roster
