From USA Volleyball, today: U.S. Women’s National Team opened up the FIVB Volleyball Nations League Final Six with a thrilling 17-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-11 come-from-behind victory over Turkey on Wednesday in Nanjing, China. ...Micha Hancock, who also sparked the rally taking over the setter spot for Carli Lloyd midway through the third set. ...Over the course of the final two sets with Hancock setting, the Americans converted 63.6 percent of its attacks with a .545 hitting efficiency (28-4-44)"
Micha has played very sparingly in the tournament, but when she was needed she stepped in and did the job!!!

Wow. Remember watching Bartsch and Dixon play in the B1G and they were very good...but never like this. Both just on fire in this match, including Dixon doing some nice 2s w/Micha.
And Micha up to her old over-on-2 tricks...got better as she went along.
Great match to have under their belts.

Micha is a winner in every sense of the word. I enjoyed watching her at PSU. And knew in my heart and soul her fire and passion were the missing ingredient in PSU since she left. Micha may good fortune follow you your entire life.

I was excited to finally see a whole match. Using Micha in the double sub deprives her, and the team, from some of the things that make her a unique setter. When she took over at S-1, she was able to hold the middle and got in two excellent full swing kills. She moved the ball around pretty well. However, I thought her major contribution was on defense where she scrambled all over the place to get balls up, including an incredible play to get an impossible ball over the net in Set 5.
Bartsch appears to be killing it in this tournament. Makes one wonder why she did not start the first two sets. Of course Hill is super too, but on this team, going with the hot hand has been the key to success.

Actually, USA won the first 2 sets and lost the 3rd, then won the 4th, but who's counting. A win is a win is a win!
I'm happy that a different player is stepping up for TeamUSA every night and is helping the team win.
Micha saved the day against Turkey 3 days ago and contributed in the double sub against Serbia and China.
EDIT:
Volleyball Nations League FINAL -- tomorrow at 7:00 am (ET); 4:00 am (PT) -- USA vs Turkey in the Championship match.

Thanks for cleaning that up! And, may I add, kudos to Volleymob and its editor Braden Keith. He's got a great blurb about Bartsch's emergence and the fights for gold and bronze tomorrow. Tripped across Volleymob by accident earlier this week and impressed w/the info they have...some of which seems to be crowd-sourced and not super clean (like the post about PSU Nia Grant coming for her senior year...which was several years ago!! They've corrected that to Nia Reed, but in the meantime they also posted about Grant's new pro team.).

Don't know how the setting went; only know that Hill came off the bench for 20 and Bartsch scored 18. there's a nice highlight reel at volleyball.world
