 Nyline announced today on Twitter that he has entered the transfer portal. Any alternate universe that wishes to contact him may now do so without violating NCAA rules (which not surprisingly, given the alternate universe the NCAA seemingly inhabits, govern transfers by anyone to any alternate universe). All alternate universes are advised that nyline will only consider transferring to a universe in which nyline can eat and drink anything he wants without gaining weight or feeling hungover and in which his cats think he shows real promise. |

Rumblings on VT about a PSU player with three years under their belt is now in the portal without any indication it is for AFTER Fall 2021 play. A few throwing Gray's name out as guesses. Any intel?

Rumblings on VT about a PSU player with three years under their belt is now in the portal without any indication it is for AFTER Fall 2021 play. A few throwing Gray's name out as guesses. Any intel? First I've heard anything like that. I was wondering if it might be Hannah Flowers -- but that seems unlikely, as she's finishing up her Masters in accounting. But theoretically, she's eligible. If it's Serena, people shouldn’t jump to the conclusion that something is amiss, amuck or awry at Penn State. If it happens, that will be the narrative on Volleytalk, because VT loves drama. But people transfer for all sorts of reasons -- missing home, tired of the grind, whatever. I don't think anything is amiss, amuck or awry at the Penn State Women's Volleyball program. Quite the opposite -- I think it's a program on the rise (and when you're on the rise from #12 in the country, that's pretty darn good). Allie Holland is an MB who played well whenever she had the opportunity -- as a true freshman. It would be interesting to see how she does with more playing time. Freshman Erika Williams is a bit undersized at 6-0, but athletic and promising as well. The point being, if Serena transfers, there are options. And it may not happen -- pure VT speculation at this time. Finally, I think it's wrong for people to leak transfer portal info unless the player has made it public first. Maybe the person on VT was asked by the player -- whomever it may be -- to post the rumor. I don't know. But if not, I think it's not good. |

Not that this means anything, but noticed she started to follow Pritchard and Rollins on Instagram when they transferred. If she knew she was going to transfer then I’m not sure she would have followed people who wouldn’t be her teammates, plus people on VT like to just say stuff with no actual reason or proof. |

Actually, from reading some more on VT, it seems as if Gray entered the portal as a possible grad transfer after the fall of 2021, because she will graduate December 2021.

Perhaps, but there are plenty of well regarded masters programs at Penn State. We'll just have to wait to find out if there is anything to this rumor. IMO it makes no sense to enter a transfer portal for fall 2022 before the 2021 fall season has even started. I realize she would need time to apply to a grad school and be accepted but isn't there time to do that in November/December. |

Anjelina Starck led Rampart High School to a Colorado 5A state championship earlier tonight. The Rams beat Grandview 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-13, 25-23) to take home the title. Starck finished with a match-high 26 kills.
