Not good communication skills if none of us knows the answer. Teenage type emojis? Sheesh. If you want to tell us something, use your words.

I don't think Penn State is finished with the transfer portal for 2022, but just looking, by position, at transfers (or retirements) out, and transfers in, you could say:
1) AC Fitzpatrick -- out; Kash Williams -- In 2) Kaitlyn Hord -- out; Tay Trammel -- In 3) Jonni Parker -- out (retired); Zoe Weatherington -- In
Kash is a clear upgrade over AC (whose enthusiasm was impossible not to like).
Hord is certainly a great player (though I would say she didn't improve during her career as much as other Penn State players have during theirs), but Trammel is a very, very good player -- 4th in the B1G last season in blocks/set!
Jonni is another great player, but again, Weatherington is also very good (notwithstanding the drumbeat of negativity on the other board that shall not be named). She is a hammer, and knows how to play the game.
I think the new staff did an incredible job filling out the roster. And I don't think they're done.

I agree with everything including there is time for more players to come through the portal. The one area I have a different take is Hord who I think is one of the best MBs in the country and could have a monster year this fall. I've jumped on the bandwagon of the new coaching staff. IMO there is better potential for recruiting prep players at a young age.
Presidents' Day Weekend is traditionally considered the first big recruiting day for college coaches at Junior National Qualifying tournaments. There all kinds of tournaments going on this weekend; i.e. 600 teams at Circle City, 800 teams at SCVA, 750 teams at Capital Hill. Of course about 98% of these club players will not be what Penn State is looking for but there will definitely be some young gems not getting big publicity.

Sounds like Zoe grew up in GA, VA, NC. So her cheering section may have a better chance of seeing her in action.

I don't disagree that Hord could have a great season. I think she'll have plenty of motivation to prove how great she can be (and arguably more talent around her than she had at Penn State). I just don't think she showed that motivation at Penn State. I wish her well. and expect her to do really well.

BTW Kaleena is asst coaching Colorado Juniors 17s...tripped across that by accident yesterday. I bet she'll be at one of those tourneys, now from the other side.

To help us get to know Zoe Weatherington, here's a video interview that Utah created for Zoe's freshmen year (2019).
"My game is very intense. I have a demeanor that can come off as unapproaching but it's just I get very focused and dialed in but I can also be kind of goofy on the sidelines..."

Anjelina Starck’s younger sister, Izzy, is evidently playing well in Kansas City.
