One can fulfill a lot of dreams in Charleston. It's beautiful and CoC is beautiful. As a graduate of The Citadel, I can attest.

Some random, off-topic info: Stanford hired Alisha Glass as their new assistant coach. I guess she got tired of Karch pretty quickly.

She played for Karch on the National Team for quite awhile, and even knowing him as a player, she took a job as one of his assistants. It is possible however that the National Team gig did not offer the same opportunities for advancement, or pay, or whatever, as she may get moving into college coaching. I know we all wish her well.

Good news that 3 of the 2020's ended up in the TOP 50 Junior Recruits according to Prep Volleyball. Seems pretty strong for a smaller class!

Astonishingly, the Slacker Staff showed up today at DigNittany World Headquarters and updated all of the Class of 2019 Signees and Verbals. Here's the link to the listing of those players: www.dignittanyvolleyball.com/2019-recruiting/The updates include updated stats, a new video here and there, and the occasional new article. Not earthshaking, but pretty good for those habitual slackers.

If the player's status is verbal, does that mean they will be a walk-on?

If the player's status is verbal, does that mean they will be a walk-on? For the 2019s, that is my assumption, but I don't know for certain. For subsequent classes, no one has signed yet, so they are all verbals. Penn State doesn't announce who is or is not on scholarship, and my understanding is that it can change from year-to-year for some players -- i.e. a player may have agreed to two scholarship years out of four (which is different than partial scholarships -- there are no partial scholarships in D1 women's volleyball). It's complicated, which is why I don't track scholarships, just players. And at the end of the day, that's all that matters -- they are all players on the Penn State Women's Volleyball team.

Verbal means there is no formal acceptance nor a for sure commitment. Both sides have said at this time "YES", BUT "NO'S" CAN OCCUR

RE: Walk Ons: Not invited but team having an open solicitation and some kid wants to give it a shot. Bayleigh MIGHT have been a walk on although she may have been more than that as she was on the Club team for a year and coach or staff may have seen her and invited her to tryout

Do we know at this late date if many of the new players attended school during the Spring semester?

Do we know at this late date if many of the new players attended school during the Spring semester? My understanding is that Lauren Clark is the only incoming freshman enrolled in time for Spring semester. Others may have more up-to-date or accurate information.
