I'm confident the coaching staff will continue to bring in great talent and compete for a national title every year. They are already off to a great start in this recruiting cycle.
The staff has recruited tremendous talent in the last 18 months along with a great group on board when Coach Katie took the helm.
Rankings don't mean much to me. For instance, I'm pretty sure Holland and Trammell were not ranked in the top 70. They would be my 2 top picks for middle-both are blocking machines and have great energy. Alexa Markley wasn't in the "top 20", but I'd take her over any other freshman last year. Her blocking abilities are insane, her hitting can be lethal, and her energy is contagious. I could go on and on about other players on the roster. They all bring something to the table.
Anyone know if we are targeting Asia Harvey (A5 out of GA). Her athletic ability is insane and her arm is lethal. She reminds me of Kash 2.0

Interesting detail about Gabby Nichols -- In the following link, Gabby's club coach shared (in 2022) that Gabby's only been playing volleyball for two years... which means she's now been playing for 3ish years. If Gabby's already getting AVCA and NTDP recognition after only playing a few years… How much more impressive might she be once she trains in Rec Hall? One of my concerns on the past few years was that PSU had many good pins, but just a bit short on the side compare to other schools. I think PSU is on track to match other teams with taller pins! |

Penn State commit Lexi Gin was ranked as the No. 3 prospect from Indiana in the 2025 recruiting class in the latest Prep Dig update. As defensive players don't always get the recognition that they deserve, impressive to see Lexi as the only L/DS in Indiana's c/o 2025 top 5! (Also impressive considering how good Indiana High School Girls' Volleyball is.) Let's go Lexi! Let's go State! |

A friend just texted me that a volleyball recruiting service that used to be more prominent than it is now, and that shall remain nameless, moved Izzy Starck down in its most recent ratings, to #4 (Boooo 😡), but moved Ava Falduto up to #5 👍👍👍👍. My friend believes #5 may be the highest a libero has ever been ranked by this volleyball recruiting service. 👍🙏👍
