Maybe they're still smarting from the Pan Am Games.

I notice that Chloe is far and away the shortest player on the team aside from the libero.

I notice that Chloe is far and away the shortest player on the team aside from the libero. She is quite upfront about her height -- I recall an interview somewhere where she started by saying "I'm one of the" and finished the thought with "I'm the shortest . . . " She doesn't pretend otherwise -- and her career to date suggests she doesn't need to.

Ironic a 5'10" female in the normal population would stand out as being exceptionally tall. I'm going on her listed height not being inflated by a few inches.

As previously noted, Nebraska will have had back-to-back huge recruiting years. Minnesota will have a big 2022 class coming in. PSU has cycled big recruiting years in 2014 and 2018. Normally that would make the apparent down year in 2022 a big disappointment. But then there was Covid.
So who is coming back for their Covid-granted extra year? I think Rollins, Blossom, Parker, Hord, Clark, and Hampton are all eligible. If most or all of them return, then the down 2022 recruiting year won't matter so much. But then 2023 looms as a critical recruiting year. So far PSU has a verbal from one (Chloe) top twenty ranked player. We are going to need two or three more players at that level to compete effectively in the B1G going forward.

BTW, I noted Cathey's name above from a few months back. After the splash at Butler announcing her t/f, I see no other mention of her at Butler or elsewhere. Is she alright? Anybody know anything?

I think Autumn Flowers is a secret message to the selection committee: Sedum (seed 'em??).
OTOH, Holland Blossom is more a spring thing.

And MSU went all the way to Canada (OK, just a couple miles lol) for Bailey. I believe she was at Marquette first. There was also the one with the hairband (ha ha) Caroline Knopp who played front row for MI for 2 years (had 3.02 K/S in 2015; had a career high 4 BL in one match; led the team in K/dig double-doubles (11), etc. etc.) before going to FL as L for her last two years.
Reminds me also of players like Detering and Courtney who had strong setting backgrounds as well as hitting; Coach seems to like to see what they do the summer when they arrive.

Nebraska on paper is going to be the most talented team in the country for many years to come. Yeah, it feels like the Huskers and Stanford will be the top recruiting destination for decades to come.

Westender: I can't tell if you are dead-on serious, or pulling our collective legs, but if the later, congrats, you have me going, and if the former, I call a bit of hyperbole. I'd say we don't have a very good handle on how college sports in general are going to look in 20 years, let alone how the recruiting in individual sports by specific universities is going to look in 20 years. Think back just, well, 7 years: Penn State was king of the hill, having won its 6th National Championship in eight years. Holy cow! Wowza! Then, seven years in the (relative) wilderness. Texas in the SEC? I suspect many cognoscenti were caught off-guard. So, maybe you're right (again, assuming you're serious), but 20 years out is pretty darn speculative.
