The bulk of Div 1 programs have not released their schedules Including ACC, PAC 12 most mid majors, so no surprise really.

I am interested in the pre BiG season. I usually go to the first home invitational which typically features a Friday night and two matches on Saturday against lower level competition. Usually, we get to see pretty much everyone play in one of the three matches, so that makes it extra fun. But it they don't schedule that invitational this season, I will go see Stanford & Oregon.

Anyone with any thoughts on the schedule upgrades? Russ always says that he's responsible for pre-conference, Big Ten responsible for B1G play, and NCAA for the tournament.
Think not having Nebraska and Minnesota hurts RPI, so maybe an extra match in pre-conference of note? Or maybe he felt teams weren't ready for B1G play? Or weren't challenged on the road as much?
The Pitt home & home is interesting. Financially a good way to play a quality opponent and get an RPI boost.

My sense is that Coach does not worry about rankings or RPI when designing the pre BiG schedule. Instead, there seem to be a lot of other factors, at least one of which is toughening up the squad to get ready for the grind of the League. But your point about finances must be one of the considerations (eg: who is willing to come to State College so early in the season). In some years, it looked like he was trying to get some exposure for teams coached by his former players.
