Set 3 much better than Set 2. PSU did what they were expected to do. Glad it was a pretty much stress-free viewing experience.

In a home game against Rutgers, it's disappointing to see the hitting percentages for Parker, Gorrell and Cathey (who looks like she improved it a little at the end...but still) |

Yep.
I don't blame Russ for putting in some bench players when you're up by 10 against Rutgers, but it's annoying when they cannot close it out. This team isn't going to win a championship, but IMO will end up in the top 10 at season's end with an elite 8 appearance.
I'm hoping Blossom and Cathey can perfect their connection; Cathey needs a high contact point to gets kills consistently. Speaking of consistency, Parker is the only consistent pin hitter we have. She has such a good arsenal of shots and excellent vision. If it wasn't for Jonni, I don't know if PSU is ranked. If only we could clone her.

In the post-match media availability, Coach Rose said Emily Oerther did a nice job (not his exact words). He also said they need to get Amanda Phegley in -- that she is getting healthy and has a good arm. |

Yeah, I noticed that Phegley was dressed to play.
I was looking to see if Ferguson was also out of street clothes, but didn't spot her.

IIRC Ferguson warmed up w/team on Wednesday. Don't recall anyone not dressed and ready.
