The selections are drawn from Volleytalk's Pick the Winners Contest. If Volleytalk does not include PSU's matches, I will add them to the list. Posters are encouraged to discuss other matches. This list is intended as a point of departure for discussions about Week 7 matches. As the games are decided, I'll highlight the winners in bold. Wednesday, October 9 1.Illinois v. Maybe we can run our own mini poll every week for Penn State games?

Maybe we can run our own mini poll every week for Penn State games? I certainly won't stand in your way. I believe the DigNittany site can accommodate the same type of polls people create on Volleytalk. I will tell you that participation in polls in the past has been limited--generally fewer that 10 respondents. But don't let that dissuade you. A new approach might generate more enthusiasm.

The site does accommodate polls. You add the poll when you create a new thread. There's a button at the end of the Subject Line that says "Add Poll." So you click that and the poll pops screen up -- you just add the info (name of the poll; number of options, etc.) I agree with gnu's take on this -- very low response rate historically, which is consistent with posting -- there are about 10 to 20 regular posters on this site, but there are a couple of thousand regular (i.e. once every couple of weeks) visitors to DigNittanyVolleyball.com and the DigNittany Forum (combined)

Minnesota beats Illinois 3-1 with a 25-23 4th set win and 16 blocks for the match. And Minny had trouble scoring its 12 points in set 3. Stuck at 8 for an awfully long time. What was that about? And that was after getting stuck at 24 for 8 points in set 2 and having to get to 28 to win set 2. Fun match.

I was out of it for most of the evening, had a medical procedure earlier, and only caught the last 15 minutes. It looked like Illinois was competitive.

I'll give it some thought, but I have had some nasty complications dumped into my life, of late. Perhaps you could PM me and tell me what you have in mind. If it's easy enough and something that wouldn't require a different format each week... I might be wiling to do it.
