Some info in Ethan's excellent summary does not match Sidearm stats. I prefer to rely on Ethan's accuracy!

they accidentally showed it once when a MI player was serving from the far left. Assume the camera operator has been warned! I'm doing my best Thanks! I was out and trying to watch the replay. Frustrating as I'm trying to keep track of the score while trying to observe the play. Ain't very good at it Does the audio not replay? I was trying to listen to the audio replay and it seems like it was only possible to listen to it live and not on demand.

I think this shows why Rose doesn't call timeouts as early as some other coaches -- he views late TOs as more valuable than early ones. I agree (but I can't see anything and I don't know anything)
Yes, but in the 2nd set, an early PSU T.O. helped the team from digging themselves a deeper hole.
Set 2 summary: PSU was up 13-10. After a 7-1 run by MI, (score was 17-14 MI) PSU took a T.O. Then PSU went on a 3-1 run to tie it up at 18, and MI took a T.O. PSU then went on another 3-1 run to go up 21-19.
Also, in the 3rd set, I was happy that coach used both his timeouts in the teens. Unfortunately, PSU couldn't recover because Michigan got really hot behind Paige Jones' serve.
It's a conundrum for coaches, I'm certain, but it makes no sense to have 2 timeouts remaining in a set when you're getting beat by a large margin.
I think with such a young team, the philosophy is a little different than when you have a veteran team.

Actually, I think that's exactly the situation in which I can understand a coach not taking the two timeouts: you want to put that large-margin lost set in the players' rear-view mirror as quickly as possible, and move on to the next. We obviously just disagree on this issue.
