Hawaii will have a tough match each and every round, it seems. I think Penn State received a good draw. I really hope they can get to the Regional Final and play Minnesota, if they get that far. It is a good draw. One match at a time. Agreed.

IMO we have as good a draw as can be.
We avoided the 2 teams, Washington and Nebraska, I am most scared of until the Final (if we can get that far).
The next 2 teams I wouldn't want to see early would be USC and Wisconsin. We won't meet USC until the Final, and won't meet Wisconsin until Semi-Final.
We do have to beat Minnesota to get to Final 4, but frankly that's the team we should prefer over the other 3 top-4 teams (USC, Texas and Nebraska).
There are a few decent teams in our region bracket: Hawaii, Texas A&M and TCU. Even Dayton at State College is not a gimme like in the years past. Hope Coach Rose find some improvement in time, because we had not looked good the last few weeks.

Who will cover the first two games? Will they be on BTNplus?

As I said before, Howard is a good blocking team. Have to set fast to avoid them setting up block.

As I said before, Howard is a good blocking team. Have to set fast to avoid them setting up block. The good thing is we'll be playing in a raucous Rec Hall for the first 2 rounds. I have a feeling that the intimidation factor will have an impact on the opponent(s).

The Texas bracket is interesting. Texas will likely have to play two or possibly three Big10 teams in order to advance to the Final Four. The could play Purdue in the 2nd round, Michigan (or UCLA) in the 3rd round and Wisconsin in the Regional Final. Considering, of course, that those Big10 teams all make it that far. My money is on the Big10 teams, they're more battle tested than most other conference opponents this year.

I'd love to see Purdue take them out in the 2nd round. What a blow that would be. The NCAA Selection Committee would be hard pressed to give them a top seed in future years. Now if Texas played more Big10 and Pac12 teams away in the non-conference portion of the season, I'd justify their seeding.

I don't think the selection committee would, or should, base seeds on one or even two previous tournament performances. They did win it all only three years ago, after all.
