..what will be the #1 thing that will be the difference?
For me there are so many things that for any team.
If I choose one......?
Confidence.

(sorry) I think many coaches would agree that luck (maybe not of the out-of-this-world-dumb-arse variety, but luck nonetheless, plays a significant part: injuries (or absence of injuries), good or bad calls at the right (or wrong) moment, and players having breakout (or breakdown) performances. Maybe it's both luck and timing.

Well, cheating here (a "c" word) I'll add a second choice: low-error (also probably cheating, as it's two words, even though hyphenated, but since I'm already cheating with my second choice, what are you going to do?)

If PSU wins the NC this year, the hate on VT is going to be off the chart. I think may be it's jealousy but there is so much hates for PSU on that site, it is not even fun to go there any more.

It's nice to have a "safe" place. Perhaps Nyline, in his infinite wisdom, foresaw this growing hatred and established this refuge.

"We may not be perfect but the sum of the parts are better than most of the field and we are confident that we will grind, work harder and be more prepared than anyone else" No doubt in my mind that this year's tourney success rests solely on the shoulders of Frantti (more specifically her arm). If she is successful hitting on the left side, the team will go far. You can bank on Whitney and Washington being effective. Courtney goes shifts into another gear in big matches and she will bring it. My only concern is Frantti, she needs to play like how she did last year, if she does, this team will go far in the tournament.

Very good point. I agree wholeheartedly. Whichever team makes the fewest errors in any PSU match will have the best chance to win.

That's because there are no more PSU fans there anymore (well maybe except for Boof who's been MIA for some time now). They've all migrated to a friendlier forum.

Personally I welcome the hate. I embrace it. Well, I have thick skin so I can deal with it, but it is no fun because anything you say will be perceived as arrogance. Interestingly enough, in the "Besides your own team, who are you rooting for? " thread on VT: Of the 7 pages, there was only 1 non PSU fan that picked PSU.

It will take a miracle for Penn State to win the national championship. Thank goodness I believe in miracles.
