I'm really happy for Brooklyn Hill coming in late and making a difference. Great for her!!
What can I say about Toni, she keeps getting better and I'm excited for the tourney.

FWIW, it's Brooklynn (with two "n"s at the end).

Great win! Great contributions from Tori, Emily, and Brooklynn.
Once PSU got started in the third set the crowd came to life and became a factor.
I thought the announcing team was decidedly pro Nittany Lions. Dean Linke even more so than Salima.

What a way to cap off a recruiting pitch to Sophie Fischer. Yes, girl. This is what YOU could be experiencing everyday! Is she there for tommorrows match also?

I thought Salima was pretty even handed. The play-by-play guy was just not very good. Like I've said earlier, wish we could get Tori and Toni on the floor at the same time.

Other people on the 'other' forum are saying how this player, that player didn't play well in sets 3-5. I think it was a team loss. the Wisc team as a whole just didn't play well in the last 3 sets. They weren't nearly as terminal, (in a large part to the resurgent PSU block), their pass/receive wasn't nearly as good, coupled with a lot of errors.
What's also funny is people saying that Sheffield sucks as a coach cuz the team "folded" in the last 3 sets. What does that make RR as PSU folded in sets 2-4 in the 1st match. It happens to everybody. Tho, Sheffield blaming sickness is sorta low-class. The sickness really hurt them in sets 1 & 2 didn't it? Oh well. Like somebody mentioned, Wisc has only won in Rec Hall twice ever. Not a fun play for Wisc to play.

Brooklynn Hill had served a total of four times in matches this season! It's a gutsy coaching move to send her in at 4-3 in the fifth set of the biggest match of the year. It's even more gutsy for Brooklynn to step up and nail four hard serves!

Russ made two moves at the intermission. He substituted Emily for Keeton and switched the starting rotation from Gabby serving (Ro1) to Emily serving (Ro5). I'm not knowledgeable enough to know for sure why he did that. But, I do know that Wisconsin's rotation 4 was beating up on our rotations 1 and 6. Their lineup of Hilley, Rettke, and Hagerty up front and Barnes, Clark and Ashburn(server) had scored on 16 of 22 points played in the first two sets. The switch put that group up against our rotations 3 and 4 for the last three sets. In those sets that lineup won only 8 of 19 points played.

I thought the Emily sub for Keeton was excellent.
I'm surprised that Shef didn't switch his rotation in sets 4 or 5 to get the favorable matchups.
