What a way to cap off a recruiting pitch to Sophie Fischer. Yes, girl. This is what YOU could be experiencing everyday! Is she there for tommorrows match also?
What I heard is that she'll be there for the weekend, so I'm assuming yes.

Where do u think they seed if they beat minny tommorrow ? I've heard 9 or 10. Personally, I have no clue By the same token, where they are seeded doesn't matter. What matters is who is in their bracket. And that can be a phishtrix shoot as one is never quite sure where the committee will put people. One person's guess was that they would be with Baylor but no other B1G teams. Which would give them a good shot at the Final Four. But, who knows?

I'm rewatching the match from last night. Really interesting how Gabby was able to close out the 3rd set with a run of 6 serves and then Emily Sciorra was able to start off the 4th set with a run of 7. Such clutch serving. I was also impressed by the toughness of PSU in the 4th & 5th set. PSU had a lead of 7, then lost it when Wisc showed their own toughness and fought back. But PSU kept coming, didn't let the moment scare them and pulled away at the end of the 4th. And then in the 5th, didn't let the fact that Wisc cut their 5 pt lead down to 1 scare them, and just kept playing well. SUCH a difference from the first match where PSU got flustered and their serve receive fell apart. And in the tough part of the games, it was PSU that came thru, not Wisc. Plus Emily coming in and doing a stellar job of receiving.
Edit: I was forgetting to give some props to Brooklyn Hill. She came in and played well also in the 5th.
I was watching Rettke shaking her hands and saying, "I didn't touch it, not me". It reminded me of a quote I ran across just recently by Ebony Nwanebu, "Acting is a major part of volleyball.. Did I touch it? Absolutely. But I’m about to convince this whole gym I didn’t."

I was wondering whether PSU will be rewarded more than WI being punished...or another way around...on Sunday. For one thing, when was WI held to 12 points in a set this year? 17 v Baylor Loss (L) 18 v IL (W) The L to OSU was almost all in extra points, as were sets lost to MN and several others. For PSU this offsets the two 13 point sets we recorded at WI, and maybe erases those in the memory of the selection committee.

I had just posted for people not to be surprised if psu were to win today that they are seeded higher then anyone is saying. Not top 4 but higher then people have them. The positive about having these two matches at end of year if u win both is it’s fresh in everyone’s mind.
