Lost opportunity. We definitely looked tired and off tonight. B1G really screwed us by making Rutgers our travel partners. On a positive note, Kendall with 19 digs tonight so the digs record should be in reach with the sub regionals.

As far as seeding goes in the tournament, this is a meaningless game. The NCAA selection committee made their bracket today. They won't change it one way or the other based on this match because the two teams are too closely ranked.
They need to have the bracket done today so ESPNU can get their graphics and story lines set up tomorrow morning. The only way a late Saturday match would change anything is if it was a blockbuster upset.

They won't change it one way or the other based on this match because the two teams are too closely ranked. The only way a late Saturday match would change anything is if it was a blockbuster upset. Makes sense. I'm just wondering where they will put PSU. It wouldn't surprise me if they seed PSU higher in such a way that we wish they hadn't. Just don't want to hit some teams prior to the regional finals. At least, I don't think that PSU will have to play two such high quality teams two nites in a row. I have great confidence in the committee putting a couple of teams together that shouldn;t be. I remember the 2013 (I think) against Stanfor. Karch was calling it and he said that Stanford and PSU should never have met in the regionals. |

I'm certain that the bracket has contingencies built into it and I'm sure that today's result will play into one of those contingencies. There is no way they leave a matchup of this magnitude out of the equation.

Having Rutgers as a travel partner is terrible. Two years in a row to finish the season against those two and two years in a row they can’t get second game cause the team they are playing pretty much has a bye the night before. That has to be changed. It’s not right that every year psu has to travel with worst team in BIG
