My thoughts exactly, but more eloquently.

I like a matchup vs. Pitt -- I think we would do fine. Same here. Pitt hasn't played a quality opponent since September. PSU, on the other hand, ........
Iron sharpens iron.
That is a instate rivalry though. You know what they say about rivalry’s, you can throw all the stats out the window

It looks like the committee tried to avoid seeded Big Ten teams facing each other before regional final. If seeds hold, Big Ten seeded matchups in regional semis would be #4 Wisc vs. #13 TAMU, #5 Neb vs. #12 Hawaii, #7 Minn vs. #10 UF, #11 PSU vs. #6 Pitt, #16 Pur vs. #1 Baylor. The only non-Big Ten regional semis matchups are: #2 Texas vs. #15 WKU #3 Stanford vs. #14 BYU #8 Wash vs. #9 UK I like a matchup vs. Pitt -- I think we would do fine. I'm hoping that PSU would/will take care of them swiftly. The thing I worry about, is if it's a really tough match, then we could end up with a situation like the Wisc/Minn weekend, where PSU plays a tough match on Friday and another tough match on Sat. Like others have said tho, RPI doesn't matter anymore, it's do or die. I do like our chances with Pitt, just hope that it goes like the 2nd ILL match.

Also, pretty amusing in that Hawaii probably will meet Nebraska. That thread will probably be hundreds of pages long. They are two of the teams whose fans post the most. Not to mention they are two of the most obnoxious groups of fans. I suspect that game thread will result in many bans. To be not very nice about it, one can hope. Tho I must say, boof, who is a PSU fan, has been pretty obnoxious in the Selection thread. It's like, we heard you the first time, you don't think the selection committee is fair.. fair... fair.... You (boof) don't have to repeat it 10 times.

I put together a thread on VT with some historical data over the past 13 years showing tournament seeds, RPI, and results. Big Ten has historically been better than the Pac 12 in the tournament money rounds over that span. I bet the results are even better if we narrow down the range to include only the past 6-7 years.
I find it VERY interesting that there have been no comments in your thread. Hard to argue against the facts. Thanks for putting the stats together. I find it interesting to see all the comments about the committee's B1G bias, But, is it a bias if it's fact? Here's hoping the B1G does well

I do think this is a down year for B1G. No really good team like prior Nebraska teams. PSU doesn't have a great team. Every team has a weakness. BUT that seems to be true regarding teams across the nation, except possibly Stanford. I can see Texas' and Wisconsin' server/receive losing it at some point. I haven't been sold on Minnesota for a while. They haven't lived up to their seed in the last couple of years. I don't know the Minn team well enough to figure out if it was some injuries/something else, or whether they just don't play well in crunch time. I do know that with Samedy playing well again, that markedly improves their chances. Realistically, I think Wisc has the best shot from the B1G. But can they handle the pressure? We'll see. Definitely going to be one of the most interesting tournaments in a while.

This bias, and this chance for dominance, is that what Joe Biden was talking about when he whispered in Obama's ear, "It's a B1G f***ing deal?" Asking for a friend...
