Another prolific college coach retires - college sports has changed so dramatically that I think the Greats have had enough. Brave new world and I am trying to be open minded and watch what the younger minds have in store for us.

Another prolific college coach retires - college sports has changed so dramatically that I think the Greats have had enough. Brave new world and I am trying to be open minded and watch what the younger minds have in store for us. It's hard to stay competitive and the older coaches have an even tougher time retooling (ie, adjusting to things like the Portal, NIL's, etc.). I assume that's why coach Rose retired. |

Bill Belichick, also just announced he is retiring. I don't follow the NFL or college football much but know Belichick & Saban are buddy buddy. Wonder if Saban would make the move to the NFL or if he's really just done with coaching.

Wonder if Saban would make the move to the NFL or if he's really just done with coaching. Saban has said, in the past, that he doesn't want to coach in the NFL. Personally, I feel like he's a great recruiter, but lacks the chops to be NFL head coach material. Of course, what do I know, lol. |
