Was not able to attend this past weekend's games. Was anyone who was there close enough to notice if Megan had a cast on? TV coverage wasn't too 'close-up' and it was not possible to tell from TV. As a foot doc, I was curious if anyone could relay what they saw on her foot. Walking boots are given to folks with a myriad of injuries, including high ankle injuries, broken bones, ligament tears, and even things as seemingly innocuous as ingrown toe nails and warts. Clearly it appeared to be an ankle or achilles injury, although many other injuries result from that kind of action. Watched the video over a few times, and could really make very little out. Just wondered if anyone took notice of any 'specifics' to the walking boot she had on, or what was covering her foot. BTW, because there were no crutches in use or visible, is a GOOD sign. That would have been a necessary or precautionary measure not missed by the medical staff if the injury was 'unstable.' Thanks in advance for any feedback. Not just professional curiosity...love the girl's tenacity and talent. Cannot wait for her return.

she sported an ankle walking boot on her right leg, going up not quite to mid-calf. no crutches. she walked like she was walking with an odd contraption on, but it didn't look painful...except to us fans!!

BTW, BIG cut off on Saturday night right as they held an impromptu ceremony giving her a golden volleyball in honor of her double 1000. i believe it was the AAD who handed it out. She was surrounded by the team before they left the floor...surprised we're not seeing photos on the team's site.

BTW, BIG cut off on Saturday night right as they held an impromptu ceremony giving her a golden volleyball in honor of her double 1000. i believe it was the AAD who handed it out. She was surrounded by the team before they left the floor...surprised we're not seeing photos on the team's site. I saw it happening, and wanted to go get a photo, but was at the other end of the gym and knew I wouldn't be able to get there in time. I assumed they would post pictures on the PSU website (and they may have, though they didn't feature them). |

PSU radio commentators say Megan practiced during serve and pass before the MSU game. she was on the sideline during the game not suited up, ankle taped, no boot.
