Thanks, Ethan, gotten much rest lately, talk about burning the candle at both ends, but I digress, Emily is a sweetheart and a great choice for the sportsmanship award, I hope she enjoyed her time at happy valley, and will hold us in her heart, as we will hold her in ours. Good luck Emily in all your future endeavors. " WE ARE "

Really enjoyed hearing about the 3 on 3 matches. I can imagine these tremendous athletes really going at each other!

Thank goodness this isn't a college football site, where the teams have 85 person rosters. Ethan would never sleep, ever. Not that he sleeps much now.

I watched a lot of HS WVB in VA. When I heard Emily had verbaled to PSU, I made sure to go see her play at Chantilly. Unlike many of the PSU Ls/DSs, she played L in HS. She was already performing at what I thought was an exceptional level. When I saw Coach in the hallway at Rec Hall, I mentioned that she was the best HS L I had ever observed. He said something along the lines of "good to hear that because we really need it."
Warmed my heart to see how well she stood up; her cool under pressure; great serve.
And the best part of this is: I think we have a whole new kind of L/DS cadre...much deeper and better performing than let's say 8 - 10 years ago. To have Keeton, Emily, Macall, Brooklyn all be able to get the call and not choke...that's huge. And that's behind our L and primary DS. Huge depth. And Emily has never been out of hers.

With their opportunities came confidence, with their confidence came success. Just a thought.
